Morpheus8 is a new subdermal adipose remodeling device (SARD) that fractionally remodels and contours the face and body. WHAT IS MORPHEUS8?

MORPHEUS8 is a fractional skin treatment that stimulates collagen production of the under lying layers of the dermis. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, the building blocks will reorganize themselves in a natural anti-aging process. MORPHEUS8 is very unique as it can penetrate 4mm deep, which results in fat melting so you can truly contour and morph different parts of the body.


WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

Morpheus8 can be used on any areas that can benefit from sub-dermal renewal. The most commonly treated areas include the lower face and neck. Areas of the face and body that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring are suitable for treatment.


HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Depending on your Morpheus8 treatment regime you can expect to have between 1-3 sessions. It also depends how aggressive your treatment is and the severity of laxity and skin quality. We do suggest packages of 3 for optimal results.


HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Visible results can be seen within a few days, but typically after three weeks the most noticeable results appear. Improvements continue up to three months after treatment.


HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT IN BETWEEN TREATMENTS?

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF FRACTIONATED ENERGY?Fractionated RF energy is a scientifically proven method to reduce wrinkles and rebuild collagen and fat. It is minimally invasive, using a matrix of micro pins to renew deeper layers of the skin with almost no patient downtime.


CAN ANYONE USE MORPHEUS8?

The benefit of Morpheus8’s color blind technology is that it can be used on all skin types. The unique properties allow even darker tones to be treated.


WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF RF ENERGY?

RF energy heats the deep layers of the skin in a controlled way to revitalize the collagen. The treatment will improve skin complexion and texture for a more radiant and youthful appearance.


CAN THIS BE USED IN COMBINATION WITH OTHER TREATMENTS?

Yes, Morpheus8 can be used in the same treatment session, or a few days after other treatments.


WHEN CAN I PUT MAKE-UP ON AFTER TREATMENT?

Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters.


WHAT KIND OF POST PROCEDURE CARE IS REQUIRED?

Patients should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommendedthat patients use a good, broad spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing their future riskof skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the aging process.

PRE-TREATMENT 

​

  • Avoid skin irritation or intentional skin tanning.

  • Sun-screen is advisable when outdoors during daylight hours.

  • Discontinue any irritant topical agents for 2-3 days prior to treatment.

  • Arrive for treatment with clean skin. There should be no lotion, make-up, perfume, powder or bath/shower oil present on the skin in the area to be treated.

PRE & POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS

​POST-TREATMENT 

​

  • After your procedure, your skin will have some redness and swelling and may show dots/grid marks. This is usually transient and subsides quickly, but you may see it to a degree for up to a week.

  • Always wash your hands before touching your face, use clean towels and a clean pillowcase to help prevent infection.

  • Be sure to clean any make up brushes, sponges, and applicators before use.

  • The use of a zinc oxide sun block SPF 30+ at all times after 24-48 hours.

  • Multiple treatments over a period of several months may be required to achieve the desired response

  • You may experience mild discomfort for 1-2 days, followed by itching while your skin is healing. Avoid scratching treated areas.

  • Use a mild facial wash and avoid retinol, tretinoin, acids, vitamin C, scrubs, alcohol based toners, and chemical peels in treated areas for two weeks.

  • Avoid activities that can induce heavy perspiration such as strenuous exercise or saunas for 2-3 days.

  • Avoid cooling the area immediately after treatment and avoid anti-inflammatory medications for one week.

Contraindications

  • Pregnancy or nursing

  • Under the age of 18

  • Internal defibrillator (Pacemaker) or any electronic implant such as glucose monitor

  • Metal plates and screws permanently implanted in the treated area

  • Injected chemical substances or silicone implants

  • Current or history of cancer, especially skin cancer, or pre-malignant moles

  • Impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases such as AIDS and HIV, or use of immunosuppressive medications

  • Severe concurrent conditions such as cardiac disorders, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, and liver or kidney diseases

  • A history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treatment area

  • Any active condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema and rash as well as excessively/freshly tanned skin

  • History of skin disorders such as keloid scarring, abnormal wound healing, as well as very dry and fragile skin

  • Any medical condition that might cause skin from healing

  • Poorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as diabetes or thyroid dysfunction

  • Any surgical, invasive, ablative procedure in the treatment area in the last 3 months or before complete healing

  • Botox or filler within the last 2 weeks

  • Use of Isotretinoin (Accutane®) within 6 months prior to treatment

  • Must be off antibiotics 2 weeks prior to treatment

  • The hand piece should be used at least 1cm away from cochlear implants in the ear. 

  • Silicone implants or an injected chemical substance, unless deep enough in the periosteal plane in the treatment area.

  • Any facial surgery performed within a year prior to treatment.

  • Any surgical procedure in the treatment area within the last three months or before complete healing.

  • Facial laser resurfacing, facial dermabrasion, and deep chemical peeling within the last three months if face is being treated.

  • Vitiligo

  • Treating over tattoo or permanent makeup.

  • Excessively tanned skin from sun, tanning beds or tanning creams and sprays within the last two weeks.
