How It Works

  • Semaglutide mimics a hormone called GLP-1 that your body naturally produces.

  • This hormone does two main things:

    • Helps control your appetite: It makes you feel full for longer, so you eat less.

    • Regulates blood sugar levels: It slows down how quickly food leaves your stomach and helps your body release insulin when needed.

FAQ's

  • How soon will I lose weight?
    -
Clinical studies show that Semaglutide can lead to significant weight loss over time.

The rate and amount of weight loss vary depending on factors like individual metabolism, commitment to a healthy diet, physical activity, and overall health.
Many people begin noticing weight loss within a few weeks to months. However, it’s important to remember that these medications work best when combined with a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise.

  • What are the side effects?
    - Semaglutide, like any medication can cause side effects, but most are mild and improve over time.
    - Common ones include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain and low blood sugar as your body adjusts to the medication.
    - Beginning with a low dose and gradually increasing it, as recommended by our NP, along with maintaining a balanced diet and staying hydrated, can help reduce the risks of these side effects.

  • Will I gain the weight back?
    - Semaglutide helps suppress appetite and regulate how your body uses and stores energy.
    - When you stop taking it, your appetite may return to normal, and your body could go back to its usual way of storing fat.
    - If you don’t maintain the healthier eating habits and activity levels adopted during treatment, the weight may gradually return.

  • How long will I have to be on this medication?
    - The length of time you’ll need to be on semaglutide depends on your health goals, how your body responds to the treatment, and your ability to maintain weight loss with lifestyle changes.
    - Our healthcare provider will work with you to determine the optimal duration based on your progress.
    - If you’re achieving sustainable results and adapting to a healthier lifestyle, the medication might not be needed long-term.

    • CMP (Complete Metabolic Panel)

    • A1C & Fasting Glucose
    • If you do not have any recent blood work available, we can order lab work for you at a very low fee.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember, unless it's close to the next one. Don’t double up.

  • How much weight will I lose?
On average, people lose 10-15% of their body weight over several months, but results vary depending on diet, exercise, and adherence to the program.

  • Is it safe?
Yes, semaglutide is FDA-approved for weight loss. It has been studied extensively, but it’s important to discuss any potential risks with your provider.
